Congratulations
to Calvary Chapel Blue for winning the Church League
“tri-fecta:” League, County, and State Champions! On Saturday, May 17, Calvary Chapel Blue capped
off a truly great season totaling 27 consecutive wins by winning the State
champions’ tournament (
Central Florida Church Champions). They won 21 consecutive games to end the
Palm Bay Church League
season and then 2 games in the playoffs to win the league. Blue took the County crown for the first
time on May 8th in Cocoa by winning two games against in-county opponents (
Brevard Church Champions Tournament). The final feather in this cap
came on Saturday, when they won five games and lost only one, and clinched the 2008 state
championship. … and also … Congratulations to … 1st United Methodist for winning the “B” Conference
Championship and, last but not least, to Central Baptist for winning the “C”
Conference Championship. “Best of the Rest” Tournament Congratulations go to
